Anti-Trump GOP Senators Praise Tim Kaine After Clinton Announcement
Anti-Donald Trump Republican senators have offered positive reactions to Hillary Clinton choosing their colleague Tim Kaine for veep, even if they still don’t care for Clinton.
Senator Jeff Flake, who stood up to Trump in a private meeting, tweeted this reaction:
Trying to count the ways I hate @timkaine. Drawing a blank. Congrats to a good man and a good friend.

Flake wrote a lengthy piece trashing Clinton this week while still denouncing the “lock her up” chants.
Lindsey Graham is no fan of Clinton either, and he gave this sorta-backhanded reaction:
I find the VP candidates — Governor Mike Pence and Senator Tim Kaine — more palatable than the presidential nominees.

I think millions of Americans will soon find this to be the case as well. https://t.co/2Mo2C1Io2K

Meanwhile, Senator Pat Toomey is in a tough reelection battle in Pennsylvania. Toomey has refused to endorse Trump, and he actually put out a statement praising Kaine:
Woah. Vulnerable Pennsylvania Republican Senator Pat Toomey is praising Kaine (while ripping on Hillary) pic.twitter.com/iGKYwhfKQp
