Anti-Vaccine Activists Want to Make Their Mark on Halloween

You know what Halloween’s been missing? Anti-vaccine propaganda. Well, don’t worry, the National Vaccine Information Center wants to do its part by encouraging people to slap its label on candy to give kids more of a trick than a treat.

Here’s what they posted on Facebook two days ago:

ScienceBlogs’ Orac explains that the NVIC and its founder, Barbara Loe Fisher, is “pretty blatant about spreading misinformation about vaccines hither, thither, and yon, disguised as ‘vaccine safety’ public service announcements.”

And they think slapping anti-vaccine labels on Halloween candy is a good idea.

You might as well hand out raisins.
