Bernie Sanders Calls on Bill Clinton to Apologize Over Clash with Protesters
Last night, Bernie Sanders reacted to Bill Clinton‘s outburst at #BlackLivesMatter protesters by demanding an apology from the former president.
The protesters were speaking out against the crime bill Clinton signed, and his fiery rant included a defense of Hillary Clinton‘s reference to “superpredators.”
When asked about this at an event last night, Sanders said, “I think we all know what the that term meant in the context that it was said years ago.”
He went on to call for Clinton to apologize “for trying to defend what is indefensible.” He proceeded to rail against how the poor were supposedly demonized in the 90s with the welfare reform bill.
Earlier today on CNN, Hillary Clinton defended her husband by saying he just wants people to “listen” to each other.
