Bernie Sanders got his groove on Wednesday at a taping for The Ellen Show, a day after the presidential candidate challenged his Democratic rivals on the debate stage. Sanders’ stage entrance was set to “Disco Inferno” by the Tramps, and it was so entertaining when the boogie started to explode.

While the lighthearted talk show was a change of pace from the high-stakes debate Tuesday, DeGeneres commended Sanders for refusing to engage in smear tactics. She told the candidate the people resonate with his positive approach to politics.
“I’m very proud to say, I’ve never run a negative political ad in my entire life,” Sanders replied.
The two also discussed the challenges facing the country, placing a particular emphasis on income inequality. When DeGeneres told Sanders that she doesn’t understand why the middle class is disappearing, Sanders responded, “you have in corporate America today, you have incredible greed. I don’t know when they think enough is enough.”
Sanders also allowed DeGeneres to ask some less-than-political questions, donating $1,000 to charity for every question he answered. Sanders prefers briefs to boxers. He thinks his hairstyle is better than Donald Trump’s (“that goes without saying”). He’s been arrested, once, at a civil rights protest. His Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor would be called “Bern Baby Bern.”
In the end, Sanders raised $10,000 for breast cancer research.
