Biden Has a Pretty Up-Close Moment with New SecDef’s Wife

Today the internet noticed another… shall we say, interesting Joe Biden moment, where he got pretty close with Stephanie Carter, the wife of new Defense Secretary Ashton Carter:

Now, on the face of it, Biden just randomly perching his hands on someone’s shoulders doesn’t seem that out-of-place. After all, this is the same veep who got up close with the family members of every single senator last month and made some of them feel awkward.

But there was actually a reason for Biden to hold her shoulders. According to reports, Carter slipped and fell on the ice outside the Pentagon and Biden was probably making sure she was okay.
