Black Mirror Twitter Account on Election Results: ‘This Isn’t an Episode… This Is Reality’

There have been so many jokes about how this election is just like an episode of Black Mirror, but with a Donald Trump victory likelier and likelier, the show itself is having the final word:

For those not familiar with the show, Black Mirror is a Twilight Zone-like anthology series that tells engrossing tales about modern society, particularly where technology is concerned.

There’s even an episode that––for real––is all about how a literal cartoon character decides to run for British Prime Minister as a joke, but actually gains in support––much to the surprise of the people who started the whole thing in the first place.
