Boxing Great George Foreman Challenges Steven Seagal to a One-On-One Open Rules Fight
For some reason, all-time boxing great and electric grill salesman George Foreman took to his Twitter account yesterday to offer up a challenge to martial artist and B-movie actor Steven Seagal. The challenge? The 68-year-old Foreman wants to take on the 65-year-old Seagal in a 10-round pay-per-view fight in Las Vegas.
Attaching a picture of the Under Siege star, Foreman tweeted out that he wants to face Seagal in a fight and Seagal could use whatever discipline he wanted:
Steven Seagal, I challenge you One on one, I use boxing you can use whatever. 10 rounds in Vegas pic.twitter.com/tTy7Qo4zHF

From there, Foreman began sussing out the rules of this match as well as who would promote it should Seagal accept:
No weapons Hand to hand only https://t.co/Tbd5iPWnAM

As for the motivation, Foreman wouldn’t reveal but did say there wasn’t any anger towards Seagal:
I'll get back to you later; this is a sport no anger involve https://t.co/RLM3eqGnOM

One person wanted to know if Foreman would also challenge Jean-Claude Van Damme. It appears that isn’t in the books:
Van Damme, I’m too big to make that happen https://t.co/e2eXN9f33g
— George Foreman (@GeorgeForeman) October 3, 2017
He also told actor Freddie Prinze Jr. that Seagal is “ready” this time for a challenge as he’ll be getting paid some major money:
He is ready this time! He'll be paid https://t.co/lNgB9gYvk3

Foreman, who became the oldest heavyweight champ in history when he defeated Michael Moorer in 1994, hasn’t fought a professional bout in 20 years. As for Seagal, he has gained notice lately for his pro-Putin stance, culminating in a bizarre interview from Russia on British television.
