Brazilian President: World Cup Defeat Worse than My Worst Nightmares

Yesterday the Brazilian World Cup team suffered a crippling defeat in that truly devastating soccer game, and obviously, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff is unbelievably distraught at Brazil’s poor showing. Christiane Amanpour asked her if she had ever imagined that scenario, and Rousseff replied, “My nightmares never got so bad, Christiane. They never went that far.”

Rousseff did find some positive things to say, praising the team and touting how Brazil has managed to put on a wildly successful World Cup that has managed to captivate the entire world (hell, even Americans kinda got into it for a while).

But not all Brazilians are happy being host to the World Cup; lots of money (billions) was poured into it. And with the devastating loss yesterday, many angry Brazil fans started this chant, directed at President Rousseff: “Ei, Dilma, vai tomar no cu.” That roughly translates to “Hey, Dilma, go fuck yourself in the ass!”
