BREAKING: Suspect in Virginia Greyhound Shooting Subdued

 

Screen Shot 2016-03-31 at 3.15.21 PMA number of outlets are reporting that there is an active shooter situation at a Richmond, Virginia, bus station. The Greyhound station is located on North Boulevard and police are encouraging people to avoid the area.

There are reports of injuries and that the shooter is in custody.

UPDATE — 3:37 p.m. EST:

Reports to CBS 6 Richmond indicate that the suspect is dead.

UPDATE — 3:39 p.m. EST:

The injury total his risen to six.

The Washington Post has also reported that those in need of medical care were taken to Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center.

It appears that the state troopers were practicing a drill on location when the shooting began.

It appears that the shooter and an officer have died.
