According to a new poll, Canadians are getting increasingly alarmed about the prospect of Donald Trump serving as President of their southern neighbor.
The poll, which was conducted by InsightsWest, finds that nearly four-fifths (79%) or respondents are “very” or “moderately” concerned about the former reality TV star becoming the 45th President.
By contrast, 42% are “very” or “moderately” concerned about a Clinton presidency.
A whopping 64% of respondents said that Trump would be “very bad for Canada,” and 14% said he would be merely “bad for Canada.” (The “very bad”/”bad” split for Clinton was 12/15.)
Almost half (48%) of respondents said that they were following the 2016 election more carefully than past American presidential elections.
