Carson: Trump Is Making ‘Sincere Effort’ to Be ‘A Little Less Self-Centered’

Ben Carson wants to make it clear that Donald Trump is doing all he can to embrace his spiritual side and be less “self-centered.”

BuzzFeed’s Andrew Kaczynski flagged a clip of Carson speaking on Washington Watch––a Family Research Council radio show––where he said that “God gave us a sophisticated brain” so that we could look at two bad choices and be able to say one is worse than the other.

He basically likened Trump to a minor wound, whereas Hillary Clinton is more like having your arms chopped off.

And then Carson gave this assurance:

“Donald Trump is actually making some sincere effort now to strengthen his spiritual life… I think it’s having an impact. I think you’re gonna see somebody who is a little less self-centered and starting to think about others and the tremendous responsibility that comes with the position that he’s seeking.”
