CBS’ Greg Anthony Suspended Indefinitely after Prostitution Arrest
Does anything not get you suspended from a TV gig?
CBS basketball announcer Greg Anthony was suspended indefinitely Saturday morning after he was arrested Friday night in Washington, D.C. on a solicitation charge. (He was released later that night.)
Anthony had been scheduled to call a basketball game in Maryland Saturday. Instead, “Greg Anthony will not be working again for CBS this season,” a spokesperson told the Associated Press.
Anthony played for five teams during an 11-year NBA career. He worked for ESPN until 2008 before moving over to CBS.
If convicted Anthony could spend up to 6 months in jail.
