Fox’s Gasparino to Joe Piscopo: Next Year Your Listeners Are ‘Gonna Get Screwed’ by Trump’s Tax Cuts
Charles Gasparino is warning people that the tax cuts touted by President Donald Trump and the GOP could end up hurting the country in the long run.
The Fox Business contributor joined Joe Piscopo on his New York based-radio show today for a conversation on New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman‘s (D) downfall, Michael Cohen‘s growing legal troubles, and everything in between.
When Gasparino and Piscopo talked about the latest national unemployment numbers towards the end of their chat, the FBN contributor acknowledged that there has been wage growth and more people are in the workforce — but also he noted that certain trends haven’t changed since Trump became president.
Piscopo kept pressing Gasparino to say something positive about Trump, but instead, the Fox Business contributor said “you’re sitting here patting him on the back, he just screwed 60 percent of your listeners.”
Piscopo said he would “take the hit” on that, but Gasparino continued to say that the real hit is yet to come.
“Average people are gonna get screwed by Donald Trump in New York, New Jersey, and California. Maybe your listeners in Iowa are like ‘Screw them. Who cares about those Yankees?’ But I’m telling you, average people, your viewers, are gonna get screwed by this tax cut. This tax cut doesn’t cut income taxes that much, it cuts the corporate tax rate dramatically, which hopefully creates some jobs and we have to see that kick in in a more dramatic way, and it cuts small business rates…I’m telling you, your viewers and listeners are screwed here.”
