Check Out These Wild Photos of a Skier Whose Face Was Impaled by a Tree Branch

A gnarly accident resulted in a Wyoming-based skier having his face impaled by a tree branch.
According to Deadspin via the Idaho State Journal, 29-year-old Natty Hagood tried to ski between two trees last Wednesday, but made contact and crashed.
The resulting impact left an 18-inch tree branch stuck through his bottom lip, as seen below in these wild images:

The injury required 15 stitches. Hagood set up a GoFundMe page to cover his medical costs, which has already met its $1,500 goal.

Remarkably, Hagood was pretty calm through the ordeal. He told the Idaho State Journal that he didn’t experience any pain from the impalement because it happened so quickly. And he was even able to joke around about it immediately afterward.
“Hey look I got a new piercing,” Hagood told a friend, according to his account in the State Journal.
