CNN’s Smerconish Hits Back at Megyn Kelly Over Benghazi ‘Conspiracy’

CNN’s Michael Smerconish responded to Fox’s Megyn Kelly today for her targeting the media (him included) over the narrative that Hillary Clinton “won” the Benghazi hearing.

Kelly felt there was some pretty “stunning new evidence” about Benghazi and Clinton; namely, correspondence Clinton sent to her daughter and to the Egyptian prime minister that Benghazi was a terrorist attack, while publicly days later saying the infamous anti-Muslim YouTube video was to blame.

On his SiriusXM show The Michael Smerconish Program today, Smerconish responded to the charge that “we are the big mad media” by saying there’s “no direct evidence” to the “conspiracy” that the facts about the attack were distorted to help President Obama win reelection.

Smerconish said there has been absolutely no one who’s come forward to corroborate this idea in any way, not even a “disgruntled staffer,” and found it a little curious how anyone could say the Obama administration somehow got to the intel community to engage in a cover-up.
