Colorado BBQ Joint Plans ‘White Appreciation Day’

A Colorado barbecue establishment is organizing a “White Appreciation Day” next month where only white people will be able to receive a 10 percent discount on everything.

And before you ask, no, the owners are not white, they’re Hispanic. But what started out as a joke to Edgar Antillon and Miguel Jimenez evolved into a very real thing.

This is the sign they’ve put outside their restaurant (which is called Rubbin Buttz BBQ):

Antillon explained, “We have a whole month for Black History Month, we have a whole month for Hispanic heritage, so we figured… the least we could do is offer one day to appreciate white Americans.”
