Dems Unleash Hell After Bombshell on Trump Directing Cohen to Lie Under Oath: ‘OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE’

Congressional Democrats pounced on Buzzfeed’s shocking report claiming President Donald Trump directed his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, to lie to Congress about negotiations to build a Trump Tower in Moscow.
The story — which cited two federal law enforcement officials as sources — claimed that the president instructed Cohen to falsely say talks on the construction project in Russia broke down much earlier than they actually did.
Could this report sink the president? Some Congressional Democrats seem to think so. Here’s a sampling of the early reaction from Democrats on the Hill:
The allegation that the President of the United States may have suborned perjury before our committee in an effort to curtail the investigation and cover up his business dealings with Russia is among the most serious to date. We will do what’s necessary to find out if it’s true. https://t.co/GljBAFqOjh

Another bombshell story. @realDonaldTrump directed Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about negotiations to build a Trump Tower in Moscow.
THIS IS OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE. https://t.co/pdVZ5dsFkc

If the President directed Cohen to lie to Congress, that is obstruction of justice. Period. Full stop.

Incredible. @realDonaldTrump suborned #perjury so that @MichaelCohen212 would lie to #Congress and obstruct its investigation into whether a hostile foreign power subverted our democracy-oh, and his campaign may have colluded, too #trumprussia #Collusion https://t.co/DLObIV2fZ3

I mean everything feels like a bombshell and we are all numb but I’m pretty sure if this story is true it’s – I’m going to be careful with my words here – something that congress must investigate thoroughly.

Must be weird to be the only guy not doing crimes when everyone around you is doing crimes.

Listen, if Mueller does have multiple sources confirming Trump directed Cohen to lie to Congress, then we need to know this ASAP. Mueller shouldn't end his inquiry, but it's about time for him to show Congress his cards before it's too late for us to act. https://t.co/ekG5VSBS8G

If the @BuzzFeed story is true, President Trump must resign or be impeached.

MORE evidence of collusion. If @realDonaldTrump directed his lawyer to lie, it was to conceal the underlying allegation from being exposed as true. #TheyColluded https://t.co/2Uvze6vl4B

Rudy Giuliani, is dismissing this report as being being about Michael Cohen's credibility but it's not: it's about what the documents reveal. If President Trump induced his attorney to lie to Congress to bury his Russian business ties, we will find out. https://t.co/YQyHsC6Fz2
