Oops: Cruz Super-PAC Wants to Take Our ‘Counrty’ Back

Ted Cruz, it is said, has run one of the shrewdest, most meticulously well-strategized campaigns of any Republican candidate in the race. Pity then that one of the super-PACs in his corner released an ad plastering the Texas senator’s face next to a misspelling of the word “country.”

“Let’s Take Out Counrty [sic] Back — Now Before It’s Too Late” proclaimed a new ad from the pro-Cruz Courageous Conservatives.

They took down the ad and replaced it with a fixed version. Luckily, Gawker grabbed a screenshot.

Courageous Conservatives bills itself as “a political action committee that helps elect bold, conservative leaders who will stand up and fight for the principles of freedom and defend the Constitution.” The dictionary, it seems, is a living document.
