Dan Abrams Thinks Newsweek Is Stealing His “Manhood”

Last week, Mediaite’s founder Dan Abrams announced his upcoming book Man Down, which compiles studies that prove women are in fact better than men. Since it’s our boss’s book, we have been keeping a close eye on this story. But so too, apparently, have the editors of Newsweek, who coincidentally (or not) feature on this week’s cover a story entitled “Man Up”” outline what men need to do to compete in the modern world.

In the following MSNBC clip, Abrams suggests to hosts Chuck Todd and Savannah Guthrie that there is more than just a coincidence going on here. (We, however, think that Dan may just need to “man up” himself, and appreciate that other smart editors also see the value in celebrating female superiority.)

For a far more serious analysis of this story, see Rachel Sklar‘s smart post “Man Up, Newsweek, and Put The Silly “Men In Decline” Meme In Context.”
