Dan Marino Files Suit Against NFL over Concussions
NFL Hall of Famer and former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino is filing a lawsuit against the NFL alleging that the league withheld information about player injuries, according to the L.A. Times. Marino and fourteen other former NFL players filed the suit, becoming the latest lawsuit against the NFL over concussions.
In the complaints for each player, there is one selection that reads: “On information and belief, the Plaintiff … sustained repetitive, traumatic sub-concussive and/or concussive head impacts during NFL games and/or practices.” The league has repeatedly denied allegations about the concealment of such information.
According to the Times, the lawsuit Marino filed seeks financial compensation and “medical monitoring.”
