Deputy National Security Adviser Nadia Schadlow Resigns

In the wake of the firing of former national security adviser H.R. McMaster and the promotion of John Bolton to the position, some of the staff that followed McMaster into the White House are leaving their posts.

The most recent of these is Deputy National Security Advisor Nadia Schadlow, who will depart the White House on April 27. Her resignation directly follows that of Tom Bossert, who was reportedly muscled out of his position as Homeland Security Advisor.

Schadlow’s replacement is as of now unknown, Fox News’ John Roberts reported.

The resignation comes amid what Roberts called “saber rattling” by President Donald Trump at Russia and Syria in the aftermath of a chemical attack that killed dozens in Syria. The Syrian government has denied responsibility for the attack, and the Russian government has backed up that claim. However, basically incontrovertible evidence suggests that Syrian President Bashar al Assad was behind the atrocity.

“Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria,” Trump tweeted today. “Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and ‘smart!’ You shouldn’t be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!”
