Dr. Ben Carson Is Officially Running for President

Dr. Ben Carson officially announced his 2016 run for president tonight in an interview with WJLA.

Carson said, “I’m willing to be part of the equation and therefore, I’m announcing my candidacy for President of the United States of America.”

The conservative neurosurgeon was thrust onto the national stage when he went off on health care, political correctness, and taxes mere feet away from President Obama. In his announcement, Carson rails against “politics as usual” and touts all the people who said he should run for president “even though I’m not a politician.”

Back in September, Carson had said he didn’t want to be president, but all the people calling on him to consider a run, he’d been giving it serious thought.
