Elon Musk Will Step Down From WH Advisory Councils If Trump Withdraws from Paris Climate Accord

Elon Musk tweeted today that he has tried to get President Donald Trump to stay in the Paris climate accord, but that if he doesn’t, he will step down from the White House advisory councils he sits in on:

Don't know which way Paris will go, but I've done all I can to advise directly to POTUS, through others in WH & via councils, that we remain

Will have no choice but to depart councils in that case

There are reports that Trump plans to withdraw from the agreement.

You may remember that back in February, Musk said he intended to stay on amid the uproar over the travel ban. After the meeting he said that the ban was a big topic of discussion, as was the climate.
