Fire Breaks Out in Baltimore Home of Rep. Elijah Cummings

A fire broke out earlier today at the West Baltimore townhouse belonging to Congressman Elijah Cummings.

There were a few images taken at the scene:

Cummings issued a statement saying he learned about the fire while he was in the middle of a committee hearing. As he explained, “The fire started on the third floor of the house and the Fire Department is investigating the cause. Thankfully, no one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries. I am grateful to all of those who have expressed their concern.”

The Baltimore fire department said that no one was injured and the cause is under investigation.
