FOIA Request Obtains Complaints About the CIA Cafeteria

Freedom of Information Act requests are wonderful. Sometimes they’re made to reveal closely-held government secrets, and sometimes they produce gems like this. A FOIA request made by MuckRock allowed them access to, I swear to God, the complaints filed about issues at the CIA cafeteria.

Yes, the CIA has a cafeteria, and yes, employees have a few bones to pick with it.

For instance, here’s one person’s cereal griping.

And someone else really isn’t happy with how they’re handling condiments.

And the CIA cafeteria actually has a Subway (they’re the Starbucks of food, of course they’re everywhere), which led to one employee complaining about the stale bread.

So now, AT LAST, transparency from the CIA!

You can check out all of the complaints here.
