Former ABC Newser Linda Douglass Leaving White House Post

 

Linda Douglass, who served as spokesperson for the Obama administration in charge of health care, is leaving the White House.

Douglass says the experience has been “exhilarating and grueling,” but it is Douglass’ past job, ABC News Congressional Correspondent, that raises questions about her future plans.

Douglass joined the Obama campaign as a senior adviser in May 2008. She has recently been tasked with being the spokesperson concerning health care – a job that has, in part, run it’s course. Here’s some of her statement:

“After nearly 2 years of work that has been exhilarating and grueling in equal measure, I am going to step off the treadmill for awhile and rediscover the experience of dining with my husband on a regular basis,” Douglass said in a statement. She said she will be “cheering with pride from the sidelines as this historic law takes effect.”
