Former Trudeau Advisor Blasts Trump For Attack on PM: ‘He’s a Pathetic Little Man-Child’

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau‘s former foreign policy adviser lambasted President Donald Trump with an eviscerating tweet calling him “a pathetic little man-child.”
The remarks made by Roland Paris Saturday evening were in response to Trump’s criticism of Trudeau as being “very dishonest & weak” during the G7 meetings.
Paris suggested the president was only capable of showing his bravado from the comfort of his personal plane rather than in person with the prime minister.
Big tough guy once he’s back on his airplane. Can’t do it in person, and knows it, which makes him feel week. So he projects these feelings onto Trudeau and then lashes out at him. You don’t need to be Freud. He’s a pathetic little man-child. https://t.co/lpz0R5Ftyj

Trump’s attack on Trudeau appears to be motivated by clashes over tariffs, with the president claiming Trudeau found U.S. tariffs “insulting” and warning that “he will not be pushed around.”
PM Justin Trudeau of Canada acted so meek and mild during our @G7 meetings only to give a news conference after I left saying that, “US Tariffs were kind of insulting” and he “will not be pushed around.” Very dishonest & weak. Our Tariffs are in response to his of 270% on dairy!

Trump’s Trudeau tweet is only the latest in a series of controversial moves regarding the G7, including having refused to sign the communique issued at the summit and snubbing world leaders by walking out before it had even concluded. The president also advocated for Russia to be included in the talks, asking for the reversal of the group’s decision to kick out the country’s leader, Vladimir Putin, for his kleptocratic behavior.
Senator John McCain also pushed back hard against Trump’s flurry of destructive tweets.
