Former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore: Kaine Isn’t Really a ‘Formidable Force’ in VA
Tim Kaine has a pretty good electoral record in Virginia. He has an undefeated streak between his local and statewide campaigns. But one former governor of the state doesn’t think he’s all that formidable.
Mediaite’s own JD Durkin is live in Farmville, VA tonight for the VP debate, and he spoke to former governor and 2016 presidential candidate Jim Gilmore about Kaine’s chances.

Gilmore said, “I don’t think he’s a formidable force in Virginia. When he was picked, the polls were not that strong for him.”
He also argued that Kaine has “hardly” been in the state since Hillary Clinton picked him.
