Fox News’ Howard Kurtz: ‘I Think Breitbart Has Really Evolved and Matured’

Fox News’ Howard Kurtz has been busy over the past week or so promoting his new book on the White House and media, Media Madness: Donald Trump, the Press, and the War over the Truth. During a stop on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight last week, the media analyst tossed some praise Breitbart’s way and let them know they’ve come a long way in his eyes.

Speaking to the site’s senior editors-at-large Joel Pollak and Rebecca Mansour, Kurtz was asked where he sees Breitbart in the current “political and media ecosystem,’ with Pollak bringing up that founder Andrew Breitbart felt media outlets should be upfront with their political biases and allegiances.

After saying that he knew and respected Andrew Breitbart, Kurtz let them know that he visits Breitbart on a daily basis while explaining how it has grown.

“I think Breitbart has really evolved and matured into a site that I go to every day,” the Fox Newser said. “It doesn’t mean I agree with everything on it, but I feel like there are a lot of things there I want to read, and I think it’s very open about its opinions and points of view in a way that people can judge for themselves what to take of it.”

Days after this interview, Breitbart News sent out and Islamophobic tweet suggesting that radical Muslim culture will take over in America and eventually get rid of the Super Bowl. Following a huge blowback, the far-right outlet decided to take down the tweet.

So, yeah, this is the site that Kurtz feels has “really evolved and matured.”
