Fox News Tops Poll Position’s Survey For ‘Best’ News Network
A national Poll Position telephone survey seeks to discover which is the “best” TV news network among the big three cable news networks — CNN, MSNBC and Fox News Channel. (Sorry, Al Jazeera and BBC fans.)
All in all, 62 percents of Republicans participating in the poll named Fox News as their pick for the best news network, while 72 percent of Democrats chose either CNN or MSNBC. Among all those surveyed, 36 percent in total said Fox News was best. Twenty-eight percent chose CNN for the honor, and 17 percent chose MSNBC.
Here’s how the numbers break down according to political affiliation:
Independents: 36% chose Fox News, 31% CNN, 9% MSNBC, and 24% were undecided.
Republicans: 62% Fox News, 13% CNN, 6% MSNBC, 19% undecided.
Democrats: 10% Fox News, 41% CNN, 31% MSNBC, 18% undecided.
The question, then, is what factors come into play to make a network the “best”? Fairness? Balance? …Lean forwardness? What do you look for in a news network?
