Fox’s Laura Ingraham Draws Bipartisan Praise for Her Interview With Trump: ‘Best Interview of Trump in 4 Years’
Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham’s latest sit-down with President Donald Trump has sparked applause from both sides of the political spectrum.
In the interview, which aired in two parts this week, Ingraham pressed Trump on everything from work visas to Trump’s strength in “building ballrooms.” She also took a tour of recent White House “improvements.”
An exchange between Trump and Ingraham about the shortage of “talent” in America riled many in Trump’s MAGA base.
CNN media reporter Brian Stelter called the interview “fascinating.”
Poynter’s senior media writer Tom Jones also lauded Ingraham, saying in the organization’s daily newsletter:
Well, well, well. President Donald Trump faced some tough questions from a TV cable news personality, who pushed back on many of his claims about how supposedly great things are going these days.
And the person who pushed the president Monday night was none other than Fox News’ Laura Ingraham. The pushback was gentle, but it was pushback nonetheless.
In the Politico Playbook, Ingraham was praised for a “sharp interrogation,” dividing lines between the president and parts of his base just kept on opening up.”
On social media, Meidas Touch editor in chief Ron Filipkowski called the segment the “best interview of Trump in 4 years.”
On the right, various commentators and MAGA fans revealed their disgust over remarks Trump made while Ingraham grilled him.
