George Lopez: ‘Enough Racists in This Country’ for Trump to Get Elected

Ever since Donald Trump made his controversial remarks about Mexican immigrant rapists and criminals, comedian George Lopez has had a few words to say about him on Twitter:

Well, TMZ caught up with Lopez to get his thoughts on the Trump controversy. Lopez turned down the idea of taking over Celebrity Apprentice––”I’m not Donald Trump’s second-hand citizen” and called his remarks “vile.”

And while he believes in Trump’s right to free speech, he doesn’t have to like it, and as far as Lopez is concerned, “there’s enough racists in this country for him to get elected.”

The upshot of that, he added, would be that he won’t have to worry about illegal immigrants anymore because no one would want to come to the U.S. at that point.
