George W. Bush Underwent Procedure To Clear Blocked Artery
After a blockage was discovered in an artery, former President George W. Bush underwent a procedure to have a stent inserted on Tuesday morning.
According to the 67-year-old former president’s spokesman, Bush is currently recovering at a Dallas clinic and is expected to return home on Wednesday. The clogged artery was discovered during his routine physical examination at the Cooper Clinic.
“The procedure was performed successfully this morning, without complication, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital,” spokesman Freddy Ford‘s press statement read.
“President Bush is in high spirits, eager to return home tomorrow and resume his normal schedule on Thursday. He is grateful to the skilled medical professionals who have cared for him. He thanks his family, friends, and fellow citizens for their prayers and well wishes. And he encourages us all to get our regular check-ups,” Ford added.
