Geraldo Rivera: Trump Was ‘Deeply Affected by His Visit’ With Shooting Survivors

Geraldo Rivera, who dined with President Trump last night, tweeted today about the President’s state of mind after meeting with survivors of the horrific Parkland school shooting.
Following a Washington Post report about Rivera dining with the President, the Fox Newser took to Twitter to say this:
As we struggle to do something about carnage & suffering in #Parkland & as surviving children demand action, I can report @realDonaldTrump was deeply affected by his visit w injured survivors-impressed by their courage-he is equally distressed by the savagery of their wounds

Student survivors of the shooting are leading calls for lawmakers to seriously take action on guns. The President has mostly been tweeting about Russia this weekend, but Rivera also tweeted this today after speaking with him last night:
As elected officials & law enforcement struggle w appropriate response to the #ParklandMassacre Let’s take the 1st small step by raising age to legally purchase an #AssaultWeapon from 18 to 21. If you can’t legally buy a beer at 18 Why can you buy a killing machine?
