GOP Candidate Admits It Was a ‘Little Harsh’ to Compare Hillary Clinton to Antichrist
Montana State Senator Ryan Zinke recently raised some eyebrows for referring to Hillary Clinton as the Antichrist. After saying that last week, Zinke has now eased up on his language, sticking to the overall point but acknowledging that the comparison between a former First Lady, Secretary of State, and likely presidential contender in two years to the physical embodiment of pure evil was “a little harsh.”
Zinke said in an interview with The Daily Inter Lake that he knows Clinton is obviously not the Antichrist, but he’s still steamed at her for how Clinton handled the Benghazi attacks.
“I would say this: It was perhaps a little harsh,” said Zinke, a retired Navy SEAL and former state senator from Whitefish. “But I had two friends in Benghazi and the truth does matter”…
“I think it’s unacceptable to have someone put politics ahead of the safety of our troops as the commander in chief,” he said, referring to the possibility that Clinton will run for president in 2016.
Zinke also took a shot at the media for engaging in “character assassination” on him for all the attention he got. When he was asked about his comments by The Flint Report last week, Zinke said, “I’ve already been put on the Obama campaign enemy list- and they’re just gonna attack. That’s all these people do is attack, attack, attack.”
