Gun Ad Shows Up on Newspaper Site Next to Article on Tragic School Shooting

People checking The Albequerque Journal for information on the tragic shooting at a middle school in Roswell were disturbed to see an ad for guns and ammunition on the same page as a news story about the shooting. Progress Now NM flagged the ad placement and posted a screengrab to its website.

This is not the first time such an unfortunate ad placement has been spotted; a Connecticut newspaper apologized last year for placing an ad for a gun show on the same page as a story about Sandy Hook.
