Here’s a Teaser From Don Rickles’ Final Series, Dinner With Don
One thing about Don Rickles at 90 was definitely true: He still had it. Yesterday, after Rickles passed away, AARP released a teaser trailer from his final series, Dinner With Don. The series was announced in March, and according to Deadline, filming had already wrapped at the time of Rickles death. At this time, there is no estimated release date and so far there’s no distributor for the show.
In the series, Rickles dines with comedians and actors, including Sarah Silverman, Zach Galifianakis, Jimmy Kimmel, Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, and more at Los Angeles restaurants.
Rickles is still everything he’s always been, and you can feel how excited the other comedians are to be working with him. In a poignant moment, Poehler says to Rickles, “I’m gonna be sincere here for a second. To be able to sit here is really, really special. I’m really honored to get to talk to you, Don.”
Rickles says, “That’s very sweet. When your name came up, I said ‘I don’t want her.'”
Hopefully, we get to see the rest of it. Watch the video above, via AARP and Deadline.
