Here’s What Happened When Fox & Friends Interviewed A Transgendered Guest

Ever wonder how producers of Fox & Friends would treat an on-air guest who is transgendered? Well it seems like we now know the answer: choose to depict a lot of b-roll of the topic at hand (in this case the LA subway system), ignoring the visual of the transgendered guest (in this case, Kymberleigh Richards, Governance Councilmember at Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Host Brian Kilmeade leads the interview, which can be viewed below.

When first introduced by Kimeade, the host appears to be a bit confused, saying “Now joining us, Kymberleigh Richards, he, uh, she is a public and legislative affairs director for Southern California transit advocates.” Ms. Richards appears to be yet another local administrator asked to provide insight and expertise to the story of government waste, which in this case centers around the LA mass transit system.

Yet when the deep baritone voice of Ms. Richards comes through the airwaves, one can easily imagine the surprise of Fox and Friends viewers across the land as they slowly realize that the voice is of a man, and the image is of the woman. It appears producers in the booth may have been caught off-guard as well, as the Ms. Richards’ visage is presented on-air but for a few seconds in the 3:00 minute clip.
