Just How Old Is Roger Daltrey?

“How old is Roger Daltrey?” is currently a trending topic on Google. Which is hysterical and also ironic considering one of the classic rock band played last night was ‘Baba O’Riley’ (more popularly known as ‘Teenage Wasteland’…oy); did everyone watching the Super Bowl halftime show have the exact same reaction?

No doubt those viewers who, in the words of Rachel Sklar are “old enough to remember how awesomely groundbreaking they were” were fairly excited to relive their ‘rebellious’ youth. Everyone else? Well, apparently they were wondering just how old the aged out rockers on stage were exactly! It would seem in the end The Who did not take all that seriously their own, now iconic, lyric “I hope I die before I get old.” Anyway, here is your answer: Roger Harry Daltrey CBE was born March 1, 1944 making him 65 years old. So either you spent last night impressed and jealous over The Who’s performance (I suspect it’s too late to rage against the sell-out at this point) or you took to the computer to discover just how old the old dudes on stage were. Or both. In the meantime, here is The Who performing the same song in their younger happier days.
