Jake Tapper Snipes at ‘News’ Websites Ignoring Story of Allegations Senior WH Aide Abused Two Ex-Wives

Jake Tapper has had it with outlets which are, in his view, turning a blind eye to negative goings-on in the White House.

Thursday morning, the CNN anchor took to Twitter to blast websites (which he did not name) for not devoting attention to the resignation of Rob Porter — the senior White House aide who is alleged to have committed acts of domestic violence against his two ex-wives.

“Looking at ‘news’ websites that churn out steady stream of pathetic fealty to power ignoring important story of accusations top WH aide Rob Porter beat his two ex-wives, and WH knew about it and stood by him,” Tapper wrote. “Amazing to witness the desperate desire to change the subject. Sad!”

We’ll be watching The Lead later to see if Tapper follows up on this. That is, of course, assuming that the notorious Eagles fan makes it to work this afternoon as his beloved team celebrates their Super Bowl title with a massive parade in Philadelphia.
