Jeffrey Lord Reportedly Considering a Post-CNN Role With Breitbart

If you were curious about what Jeffrey Lord might do now that he’s no longer with CNN, well… we may have your answer.

The pro-Trump commentator was fired from the network earlier this month after sending out a “Sieg Heil” tweet. According to The Daily Beast, Lord might be about to find a new home at Breitbart, under the newly reinstated leadership of Steve Bannon.

From the report:

The Daily Beast can confirm that Lord is eyeing Breitbart, one of the most influential Trump-boosting outlets in the country, as a post-CNN gig. Two sources familiar with the situation tell The Daily Beast that, post-firing, Breitbart reached out to Lord regarding writing for the site, for a contributorship or a potentially steadier job.

Last week, Lord emailed The Daily Beast that he was indeed actively exploring post-CNN media options, stating that he had “three possibilities already! LOL!” and was “taking a week off and then back to figuring out the future.”

When Lord was fired from CNN, he received a message of solidarity from Bannon himself.

If Bannon takes Lord into the fold, it could very well factor into his plans to wage a pro-populism war against Trump’s opposition.

Lord is known to have connections at the conservative-leaning organization, and he has appeared on their radio programming in the past. In one of his latest appearances on Breitbart’s radio program, he spoke about his firing and said CNN caved over the First Amendment.
