Joan Rivers’ Daughter Puts Out Statement on Her ‘Serious’ Condition

Joan Rivers is still in the hospital, after being rushed there yesterday when she reportedly stopped breathing. Earlier today her daughter Melissa Rivers issued a statement today on her mother’s health, thanking all the friends and fans who have sent their prayers and wishes.

Rivers had reportedly been placed in a medically-induced coma yesterday and is expected to be brought out of it sometime this weekend.

Her daughter put out a statement today saying that she’s still in “serious” condition, but she’s “receiving the best treatment and care possible.”

Rivers also sent a message to fans: “My mother would be so touched by the tributes and prayers that we have received from around the world… We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts as we pray for her recovery.”
