John McCain Begins Interview With Brutally Honest Assessment: ‘I’m Freezing My Ass Off’
Former Republican presidential nominee and Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee John McCain was eager to join MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Tuesday to discuss, in part, the state of the incoming Trump administration and its relationship to the intelligence community.
And while the topics of discussion are serious in nature just three days ahead of the Presidential Inauguration, McCain made an upfront honest admission at the start of his interview worthy of laughs in the MSNBC production room.
“Thank you. I’m freezing my ass off,” he told Mike Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough standing outside Capitol Hill where Trump will be Sworn-In on Friday at noon.
“I’m sorry! That’s really nice of you!” said Brzezinski before moving the conversation on. The purpose of McCain’s hit Tuesday morning was largely to talk about his proposal for an increased defense budget, a move that would push the annual spending to over $85 billion per year over the next six years.
