Jose Canseco Accidentally Fires Off Gun, Shoots Off Middle Finger

Former baseball star Jose Canseco is in the hospital tonight after accidentally firing off his gun while he was cleaning it and seriously injuring himself.

Both TMZ and KNTV are reporting this news tonight, when police showed up at Canseco’s Las Vegas home after he accidentally shot himself. As Canseco’s fiancée explained, he was cleaning the gun, and didn’t realize it was loaded. It ended up going off and ripping through his middle finger.

Canseco is in surgery at the University Medical Center in Vegas.
