Katy Tur Describes Unwanted Kiss From Donald Trump: ‘My Body Freezes. My Heart Stops’

One of the outcomes of the extraordinary 2016 campaign has been an overflow of books from reporters and politicos who were on the front lines of the spectacle.

On Tuesday MSNBC’s Katy Tur added her name to the pile with the release of her tome, “Unbelievable.” The “Un” part is in red — for some reason.

A bit of sleuthing from IJR found that at one point in the book, Tur detailed a potentially disturbing moment with Trump on the campaign trail in 2015. Just before a Morning Joe hit in November, Tur writes that Trump landed some unwanted intimacy.

According to Tur’s recollection, the moment was tense:

Trump arrives. Word spreads. I take a few steps toward the entrance and see Trump’s private security detail, coming in just ahead of him. Despite my desire to avoid any interaction, I walk toward the front doors and spot Trump—who shifts his path ever so slightly so he’s walking straight toward me—barreling, really. Suddenly he is so close I can smell what he had for breakfast. And then, before I know what’s happening, his hands are on my shoulders and his lips are on my cheek. My eyes widen. My body freezes. My heart stops.

The incident might once have been written off as a bizarre misunderstanding between the two were it not for the long trail of similar allegations which have been leveled at Trump — in addition to his “grab em’ by the Pussy” comments on Access Hollywood.

Trump actually bragged about the kiss on Morning Joe (back when they were friends) leaving both hosts visibly stunned.

“Katy Tur, what happened? She was so great. I just saw her back there and I gave her a big kiss,” said Trump.
