Rush Limbaugh is firing back at Jimmy Kimmel after a comment the ABC late-night host made over the weekend saying there aren’t any conservatives in late-night because helming a show the time slot requires “a measure of intelligence.”
On his radio show Monday, Limbaugh went with a variation of the ol’ I’m not stupid! YOU’RE stupid response to the ABC star.
“Kimmel is a funny guy, but he’s an idiot,” Limbaugh said. “He really is an ignoramus.”
From high-profile, emotional monologues on health care, to constant bashing of President Donald Trump, Kimmel’s show has gotten far more political of late. Limbaugh claims that the comic is tackling weightier subject matter without the requisite knowledge.
“He’s one of these guys who doesn’t know what he doesn’t know,” the conservative host said. “And thinks he knows everything.”
Kimmel made his comment during a live taping of Pod Save America in California Saturday night.
“It just so happens that almost every talk show host is a liberal and that’s because it requires a level of intelligence,” the comedian said.
