Madonna Drags Pepsi on Instagram After Kendall Jenner Ad

This is pretty much the most awesomely Madonna thing ever.
When it comes to controversial Pepsi commercials, she’s been there. Back in 1989, pop music’s Queen was in a commercial for the soda brand that featured her song, “Like a Prayer.” The commercial seemed harmless enough, featuring a lot of dancing in the street and a gospel choir. When the music video for “Like a Prayer” came out, however, it featured burning crosses and Madonna kissing a black actor who was playing a saint.
Apparently, at the time, people confused Madonna’s video with the commercial for Pepsi, and according to The New York Times, Pepsi pulled the ad and canceled plans to sponsor her world tour. This week, Pepsi pulled another controversial and pretty cringeworthy ad featuring Kendall Jenner.
Yesterday, the singer posted this to her Instagram account:
Then, just to toss a little more shade at Pepsi, she also uploaded this gem:
Ouch.
