Man Burns Down Entire Apartment Trying to Get Rid of Bugs

A Florida man tried getting the bugs out of his apartment over the weekend by setting a small fire to burn them. Things ignited quickly and it turned into a full-scale fire that burned down the entire apartment, and the man in question ended up being rescued by a neighbor.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to clear the apartment, and found the conditions inside to be “deplorable.” And the man inside the apartment specifically told police “that he started the blaze accidentally — while trying to burn the bugs in his apartment.”

And so one of the officers filed paperwork that the man be hospitalized because they consider him to be “a danger to himself and others.”
