Man With Great Chaplin Mustache Labeled ‘Possible White Supremacist,’ Found With Sh*t Ton of Guns
Authorities are careful not to label 42-year-old Bruce J. Post III as a “white supremacist,” following his arrest on Sunday in New Jersey, though they’re sticking with the “possible white supremacist” distinction. Of course, that sweet ‘stache that looks vaguely familiar isn’t enough to outright declare him as such, despite the immense load of weaponry that the wanted man was found with deep in the woods.
Post, originally of Trenton, was tracked and found by a multi-agency task force comprised of law enforcement agencies who found his 2007 Hyundai pulled to the side of the road. It is there that they saw Post acting suspiciously, or as Lacey Police Chief David A. Paprota later said, the suspect was, “…wearing combat gear and gave indications of possible white-supremacist involvement.”
According to the Berkeley Patch:
Police also found a cache of weapons at the scene, including an AK-47, a Walther P38 9mm handgun, eight 30-round high-capacity magazines, one 100-round drum magazine and assorted ammunition, the chief said.
Post, 42, Exton Avenue, Trenton, was taken to police headquarters and charged with first-degree unlawful possession of weapons, and certain persons not to possess weapons. He was also charged with second-degree unlawful possession of weapons, (handguns) unlawful possession of weapons (AK-47) and certain persons not to have weapons (felon) possession of prohibited weapons and devices (high capacity magazines.)
Post is currently being held in Ocean County Jail on $400,000 bail.
The Police Chief continued, “Based on the suspicious nature of the entire encounter, a thorough K-9 and foot search was conducted in the area the subjects were located. The multi-agency effort was created several weeks ago to combat the increasing cases of suspicious people and incidences in the heavily-wooded area off the Garden State Parkway. The groups included Lacey Township Police Department, Ocean Township PD, the New Jersey State Police, the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, the New Jersey State Park Police, and the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife.
