Michele Bachmann Suggests Damning Video Came From Clinton: ‘These Things Are Coordinated’
Former Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann spoke with CNN earlier today and suggested that the video tape leaked to the Washington Post Friday is likely tied, somehow, to the Hillary Clinton campaign.
Bachmann alleged that “the Clinton campaign had to change the conversation,” and that ahead of Sunday night’s highly-anticipated debate between Donald Trump and Clinton in St. Louis, Clinton relied on Trump having negative headlines in order to drag him down.
“This is how she wanted to do it,” Bachmann said, despite the fact that CNN’s own original reporting into the matter determined that the Clinton campaign knew nothing of the leaked audio before its release.
“These things are coordinated to manipulate the media. That’s exactly what happened,” she continued, noting that Hillary Clinton herself would otherwise be fighting back against troubling headlines on her own.
Wikileaks on Friday released a batch of emails from John Podesta, the architect of the 2016 Clinton campaign, revealing much of the content of the former Secretary of State’s paid Wall Street speeches. Instead of focusing on the content of the “Podesta Files,” the mainstream media is grasping on the Trump bombshell just 31 days ahead of the general election.
Even when Bachmann was asked to respond to Trump’s statements as a mother and a Republican leader, she instead continued to invoke Clinton’s troubles instead.
